Logistics and the Rugby World Cup

Logistics comes in all shapes and sizes and this year’s Rugby World Cup is no exception. With the world’s best teams battling it out on some of the biggest stages in the world making sure it all comes together like a well oiled machine requires meticulous planning LAND ROVER, the official vehicle partner of the Rugby World Cup is supplying a fleet of 450 vehicles to assist in various logistic roles. Tasks include transporting match officials, event staff and VIP’s between locations. The fleet is expected to accumulate a staggering 650,000 miles during the Rugby World Cup.

We often don’t see the logistics taking place behind the scene at big events such as the Rugby World Cup, but be assured there is a lot taking place, years’ worth of work, preparation and planning will finally coming together this month. Vehicles roster included in the fleet are; Discovery, Discovery Sport, Range Rover Sport and Range Rover.
