Driving a HGV requires a similar level of skill as race car
Tom Ingram British Touring Car Championship Driver (BTCC) found that driving an HGV required similar levels of skill and focus as driving a race car but is in fact harder to grasp.
As part of the build up to National Lorry Week, Tom Ingram took a Dunlop Motorsports truck around Silverstone on Sunday. Tom is also taking on the challenge of qualifying as a HGV driver through training sponsored by the Road Haulage Association (RHA).
Richard Burnett, RHA’s chief executive has said: “By highlighting driving as a career in this way, we aim to raise awareness among younger people to the fantastic career possibilities available within the freight logistics industry.”
